Hi All,

I am designing a power supply boards,Which has 80 amps current for mosfet switching.

What one has to look for before starting for routing(80 amps).

Is it possible to copper fill for the same? And what precaution one need to take?

Can anyone guide me on this issue?

Re: Routing guideline

Dear sir
first u can make the width of your tracks of at least 20mm then u must tin and solder this tracks this will help u to make it
also u have to make tests firt

Re: Routing guideline

I HAVE DESIGNED A BOARD FOR 100A CURRENT @48V
for that purpose i used 30mm track width and the thickness was around 3oz.
in my application there were mosfets.

the board was tested up to 75 amps and was working properly without getting heated.

u can also unmask the portion of the track so that u can tin and increase the thicknees of the track so to carry more current.
