Simulation results of a simple microstrip line (lambda/4 @ ~90GHz) looks like this: I defined 2 Ports using 4 Pins for excitation. You can see the standing waves on the ground plane at all lambda/4. How can I solve this grounding problem? Is it an issue of my simulation setup? I expect a non resonant behaviour for a simple piece of microstrip... Jabu

If you want to have an ideal ground, use the bottom boundary condition (substrate backside).
