[SOLVED] Grid For Ground Planes?

All,

What do y'all use for grid spacing when connecting top and bottom ground planes with vias on a single layer board?

Read my posting in the other thread before doing this.
There are arguments for & against a set value or random values of spacing and whats the environment likely to be?
Put them where you can without making it look like a pepperpot.

p.s. this is a 2 layer board not a single layer board :)
