Hi,

I am trying to use the Microchip mcu to interface with a graphic controller to drive a CSTN LCD. However, there is no character generator in the graphic controller and I will need to design my own graphic library in order to display character text, icon, etc. on the panel.

I never try on this and would like to ask for some helps here. I just want to know how should I begin with. Should I pick a big memory PIC and create a big array then store all the characters and icons in the memory? Or should I use external memory like an serial EEPROM to store the library (but this is slow).

Thanks.

Regards,
Eric
