hey all

I want to generate a GPS signal in matlab so I could load it to my ESG4438 vector signal generator and thus simulate a GPS signal.
anyone has an idea on how to do it?

thanks,

The mnetioned book in below link has a DVD with some signal examples in DVD. If you can get the book, you can give a try.

hey

I managed to do this by taking the PRN code and manually insert it to a bit file in the ESG.
I than repeated the bit sequence several times to have a file several minutes long, this allowed the GPS device to
syn on my signal.
note it's only the GPS satellite PRN, so you can see that SVxxx has and RSSI of ppp.
you can even simulate several PRNs in the same file to emulate several SVs but all will have the same RSSI.
