my tv is sony trinitron..which is about 15-16 yr old now..
now there is a problem...it cannot be set to all the channel that cable operator provides..so i never can watch mtv, star world, discovery channels.
as i'm elx student...i think i can make ckt which can receiver most of channels from cable operator.
plz tell me where i can find ckt for receiver.

make some corrections in tuning circuit present in RF AMPLIFIER INDEED first block of any receiver so that tuning range of RF amp. increases..

i didn't understand. plz tell how to do it. how to addin external ckt after cable and before connecting to tv.

Are they analog channels or digital channels?

Buy a "cable TV tuner" or "CATV tuner" from your cable service provider or your local consumer electronics store. It's inexpensive, and usually includes a remote control. Also, most VCR's include an analog CATV tuner.
