Get web pages content to lcd

i have microcontroller based a project
i need to get some webpages such as www.somewhere.com/a.php and after that i need to show it on display

i have no problem with creating web page or it technology

i dont know how could i get webpage like this or which microcontrollor or system is best for me

but i am not able to use PC for this job cause it will be smaller device

ok .. Your requirements are of complete embedded system ..But you fail to mention all the parameters .. like do you need color ? what size of lcd .
do you need to implement a browser of just still pages do you need a lot of data storage .. and last but not least the price of your targeted system .
All of the above will determine what kind of architecture you will need and how powerful this should be . i recall seeing a company that makes a chip that does exactly what you need .! some time ago i needed an embedded html browser and found that company that sell their graphic chip along with the software ..
But you will have to seacrh for it if is it sounds that is what you need . !
