I want to get more output power from a CCFL transformer. All i can get is less then 1 watt no matter how i dirve it . I want to charge a 47UF capacitor to 400 volts in 5 seconds.
Primary inductance is 280uH , seondary is 7H . Leakage inductance is 280mH.
I my opinion all these CCFL tranformers are a rated at least 10 Watt.
The transferred power can be increased by using a series resonant circuit compensating leakage inductance. The limiting parameters are however winding resistance and maximal core flux. You can measure Rdc to get an idea of resistive losses, but for an exact calculation, Rac at the intended operation frequency should be measured with a LCR meter.
