Hi frenzz,
rm -rf*
I was playing around with the command & was in the root directory hence deleted all my files. Is there any way of "restoring" them without having a backup?
i think there is no way to restore the files ............
better to use an alias for rm command as alias rm 'rm -i'
it asks y or n for deleting..............
this will also not help for rm -rf..............
it is very power full command in unix..............
is this a personal machine or part of a company/university network? in the latter case you should have centralized backup available somewhere; in the first case if you have admin access try **broken link removed**
