Genuine 2SC1971 transistor

I hear that there are many fakes for the 2SC1971 transistors and I think I might have bought some fake ones. They just look fishy to me. I was wondering if anyone knew of an online store or eBay seller that sells actual authentically real 2SC1971 transistors. And how do you test/spot a real one from a fake one? Or maybe a readily available equivalent transistor?

Mitsubishi stopped production of 2SC1971 many years ago. So most of the parts sold today are counterfeits.
