Hi,

I want to build an alarm circuit for gas leakage using mq-6 sensor.

below the circuit i want to try, does it work correctly or need any modification?

Assuming your R1 value is suitable, I would only suggest adding some hysteresis to the comparator.

Hi,

I agree.

A noise canceling capacitor across R1 should be useful, too.
Mind to use a bulk capacitor and a fast ceramics capacitor for 5V supply.

I made something like this back in the spring.
I used an Mq2 module, which has everything on the board.
Looks like your circuit will work, without hysteresis the buzzer might slowly start to sound rather than be a definite on / off.
