Function Generator and Oscilloscope

Hi,
I am supposed to built a function generator which can generate square, saw-tooth, triangular, and sine waves at least and simple digital scope which should work in two modes. Online, and buffered (off-line) modes and it must be controlled using a software developed in c#.

It is not allowed to use IC waweform generator such as MAX038 . It must be PIC based. I can use operational amplifier however, I wonder is there a any way of doing this?

Select "Function Generator" in the left menu. This project uses a PIC 16F870 as function generator.
