Frequency to voltage conveter using digital gates

hi every one

can any tell me that how can i convert the frequency into the voltage by using the digital gates only.
 

for lower frequency range you can start charging some RC on positive edge of the signal and make Sample/Hold at the negative edge (plus discharging the RC after that).
