Is there any difference between "Frequency meter" and "Frequency counter"?

Thank you all.

hello Nguyennam, I think that
Although they are the same purpose that measure frequency. But the difference between "Frequency meter" and "Frequency counter" is only one ponit.that is the way to measure frequency.
While "Frequency meter" measure the period of pulse exist(we can measure period between the rising edge pule and the falling edge of that pulse).By this way you can find the cycle of your signal=T =period measure.and frequency =1/T. this way is suitable for the signal which have the low frequency( or large Cycle).if the freg is too lage this way give us the result having the large error.
On the contrary ,the "Frequency counter" measure the frequency by counting the pulse in the constant period(which you set before measuring) base on this result we can know the freq. This way is suitable for the signal which have the large frequency(Cycle of signal is small). If you use this way to measure the signal which have small frequency , it will generate the result which have the large error.

as far as i know...... frequency meter is the term used in analog and frequency counter in digital... the function is the same...
