In a Binary FSK, the carrier frequencies should be integer multiples of bitrate. Thats fine but what should be the spacing between the two carrier frequencies? Plz help me out...

download an ADF7023 data sheet and look on page 9. There is a table of data rates vs optimized frequency deviation and receive filter bandwidths suggested there.

Why? Are you considering some special case?
In general, that is not a necessary condition.

i asked this because, in Communication Systems by Simon Haykins, it is mentioned that the fsk frequencies to be (nc+i)/Tb, where nc is an arbitary integer and i=1,2.
By which it indirectly means that frequency shift to be 1/Tb. Is this condition necessary??
