Anyone successful in installing Fredora 5 with Cadence IC5141 - Virtuoso layout
having issues, getting this error when I run lmgrd

elocation error: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Hi,

I can't even install IC5141 in FC 5. I am using CentOS, everything works fine.

BR,

You need to see if Fedora Core 5 has compatible glibc libraries avaible to install. look for compat-glibc rpms

after 1 day, finally got it to work
actually installing IC5141 on Fedora 5
make sure to install all the ISR's and also the latest license manager, the older license manager does not support
you would get an error message - relocation errorr
try to get the latest license tool from iscape
also all the updates and ISR's should help

hope this helps

You'd better use RHEL 3 to install Cadence in order to run steadily.

I tried ubuntu 6.06, FC5, but they dont let me install ic5141, shows permission denied, though I loged in as root, only FC4 goes. but FC4 doesnt have a DVD version, and need to build a boot disc by yourself.

Yes, it does. If you're using x86 CPUs, check this out:

h**p://mirror.spanasia.net/fedora/linux/4/i386/iso/FC4-i386-DVD.iso

You may find DVD ISOs on other mirrors as well.

i instll 5141 in fredora and i works well!
