fpga safety

Any recommendation: Actel Flash, Xilinx, etc. Which FPGA/CPLD series could be best suited for safety critical missions?.

Best regards,

mimoto

All are fine for your needs.

However depending on what you mean by safety critical will determine if you need to design redundant circuitry.

If by safety you mean UL, CSA, VDE safety and fire or FCC then you wont have a problem with any FPGA or CPLD.

However if you mean that the design must always (and I mean always) work then you may be designing in redundant or back up circuits.
