sir,
i am doing my project on antennas.my project is on design and analysis of linear and planar antenna arrays.i have matlab code for getting the design of linear antennas like broadside and endfire and also planar antennas of square and rectangular geometries.i want to increase the performance of antenna arrays by decreasing the sidelobe level or something if you suggest.so, i my problem is to increase the performance of the antenna arrays.....please help for getting the matlab code for incresed performance of antennas by decreasing the sidelobe level or any other idea of incresing the performance...please help me as soon as possible...

You need amplitude taper to reduce sidelobe levels. It is the same as using a window function in a Fourier Tranfsform to reduce side lobes in the frequency domain.

Many antenna books cover taper function to get low side lobe levels. Search for Dolph and/or Chebyshev together with sidelobes This will lead you to other info.

You may try to get a copy of "Phased Array Antennas" (Wiley, R.C. Hansen). A usefull reference regarding performance in general is: "electrically small superdirective and superconducting antennas, R.C. Hansen.
