Why GSM phone cause flickers in moniter screen while receving the call or SMS etc while CDMA or WCDMA does not?......detail answer will be appretiated

While receiving or transmitting the calls, the transmitter or receiver section of the mobile starts transmitting or receiving the radiations. So, the the mobile set disrupts the monitors of computers.
During idle time, the mobile set do not receive or transmit any signal.
Basically, after being registered with nearest mobile tower, the mobile set is in idle state and Base station is monitoring the signal strength of the mobile set continuously.

yes thats what the questions is,,, why this happens only in GSM, why not in WCDMA?.... and why these flickers are when call is paged to mobile, once you accept it and starts talking, you will not see flickers even though your mobile is near moniter etc.....

This is the reason. GSM Phopnes do not transmit continuously. They transmit bursts of information. One burst every 4.615 mSeconds. Therefore the burst rate is 216.6 Hz. This generates a lot of impulse noise in some of the cardiac pacemakers, hearing aids, computer monitors, TVs etc. Although you speak to the phoe continuously the GSM phone bundles your voice in bursts of data each lasting 577 microseconds. This duration is called a time slot.

i am not sure but may be the power levels of the GSM are much higer than the CDMA which makes the effect more noticable
