finding type of filter

Hi ,

Can anybody plz tell how to find the filter type for a given filter circuit ?
suppose a filter circuit is given how to determine whether its a low pass or high pass or band pass ?? by equation .

Usually by determining the gain for zero and infinite frequency, which can be easily read from the circuit.
