Hi to all! I want find out the Distance of arrival and Angle of arrival on GSM modem using AT commands. But i dont know where to look. Can any one guide me???
Do i need mathematical calculations for this??. Is there any AT command for this or we just have to use signal speed to calculate distance????

The only location related information available by some GSM modems is a list of basestations with respective field strengths.

A more accurate location of mobile stations can be performed by the network provider. It's used for rescue services and may be possibly offered as supplementary service to mobile customers.

Is there any other way!! i mean any alternative to find the location with accuracy like GPS have????
