final year vlsi project

hello every1, i wanna start a project in vlsi as my graduation final year project. m a btech ece student, they hav asked to make something new out of somethin new going on...i have no idea what to make or do...i hav xillinx,altera,dsch,microwind software..plz advice..........

so first explore some IEEE papers in vlsi and find the topic.If u need any help in topic u can take my help.But i can guide in
