fifo vs bram

HI,
In my design I supposed to send a .bmp file of size 55X55 through serial port so whether should I go for BRAM AND FIFO for temporary storage of .bmp file.I have to send file in such way that first frame of size 55*55 store in memeory(FIFO OR BRAM).After that reading of same frame will happen and simulatenous writing of other frame of size 55X55.

Hope you get What I am trying to say...Pls suggest

Re: FIFO VS BLOCK RAM

Dinesh,
It depends on application whether u go for FIFO or Block RAM. If U want to process data before sending to outside again and that processing depends on old data too( in case of filtering) then option is go for RAM, here FIFO will not work.
So depending on your application, u need to choose the best
