Hello everybody,

I'm a new user of this forum and also HFSS.

Currently I'm working on university project, where I'll have to export field distribution results from HFSS to matlab. I used eigenmode solver to calculate frequency of pillbox cavity and also to see field distributions in different modes. My main problem is I couldn't make out how I can export field distributions from HFSS to matlab.

May be this is too easy for some people in this forum, but I request you to help me out in solving this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Teja

For plots of results such as S11, you can right-click on the plot and select export in csv format. Then you can open that file in Matlab or use it's spreadsheet interface to open the file.

For 3D field plots you can right-click on the "Field overlays" and choose "save as..." then save the field in the dsp format. But I haven't yet used this option to export th 3D field to Matlab.
