Few basic questions about resistor, capacitor and thermocouple

Assalam O Alekum!

Kindly answer following questions

1.Does a Resistor has the same potential at both ends? (I don’t think so)

2.Is a Radio-tunning capacitor, a “Variable cylindrical capacitor”?

3.Is Graphite a good conductor of HEAT ?or electricity ? or both ?

4. Is a Thermocouple made by using two similar metals or dissimilar?

5. Deviation of light from a straight line path is diffraction or interference?

6. Variation is the angle between

(a) Latitude and Longitude

(b) Magnetic line of forces

(c) Magnetic meridian and geographical meridian

(d) Horizontal and vertical component of earth magnetic flux

do u mean when its connected to a voltage source? then it obviously must have different voltages oir the potential difference must be '0'.. that is simple.. so without a voltage source.. the voltage difference is the one we measure and its 0.. that doesnt mean the two ends must hgave same voltage.. am i confusing? :-o

3.Is Graphite a good conductor of HEAT ?or electricity ? or both ?

dissimilar like antimony and bismuth.

5. Deviation of light from a straight line path is diffraction or interference?

cant be interference.. its "diffraction"

normally they use a diode as capacitor right? for FM radio?
