Feeder design in RFID Tag

Hello,

Can anyone define the purpose of having a Feeder network in an RFID Tag?

My understanding so far is that a Feeding networking will provide impedance matching to the Tag chip and antenna and ensure max power is transfer from Antenna to Chip.

Please advice.
