Could you please introduce me some driver that has short circuit and open circuit fault detector?
I mean when switch falls short circuit or open circuit drive generates a fault signal.
Short circuit detection isn't rare, but I've never seen one with an open circuit detector, because generally an open circuit isn't considered a "fault." In fact some loads will have moments of zero current which shouldn't be considered a fault.
cannot desaturation detection perform as open circuit detector?
you're right;to avoid short circuit, there is usually a tiny interval between firing complementary switches. However, I think desaturation detection can act as open circuit detector which will be helpful for my design.
I would be grateful if you give me ur opinion.
What do you exactly mean with open circuit? Disconnected load or non-operational power switch? The latter will be determined by desaturation detector, the former won't.
