i want to generate some test patterns and applied to a circuit. How the fault coverage is detected.plz reply

what is for you the fault coverage?
I means the stuck/bridge/transition faults are detected viy the scan out values.
When you add "functional" patterns to test some specific parameters of your design, ADC, bandgap..., your patterns need to return the "result" which will indicate pass/fail.

so you mean fault coverage is detection of only a single stuck at fault and the result is either pass or fail.whether we can detect all faults from the fault universe and measure the fault coverage or not.plz reply
