ATPG Run Options
After you set up the parameters for an ATPG run in the Run ATPG
dialog box, you can start the ATPG process by clicking one of the
following buttons:
• Run: Runs ATPG using the Basic-Scan mode, followed by the
Fast-Sequential mode (if enabled), followed by the
Full-Sequential mode (if enabled). This is the default sequence.
For details, see “ATPG Algorithm Sequence” on page 10-9.
• Auto: Runs an automated sequence of setup, run, and
post-processing commands to produce reasonably compact
patterns and high test coverage, using a minimum of user effort
and a reasonable amount of CPU time. For more information,
see the online help description of the -Auto option of the Set
ATPG command.
• Basic Scan: Runs ATPG using only the Basic-Scan mode, even
if the Fast-Sequential or Full-Sequential mode is enabled.
• Fast-Seq: Runs ATPG using only the Fast-Sequential mode.
Note that the run might be slow if you have not previously done
Basic-Scan ATPG in the current session.
• Full-Seq: Runs ATPG using only the Full-Sequential mode. Note
that the run might be slow if you have not previously done
Basic-Scan ATPG in the current session.
