Hi

I have a circuit with four FPGA of 1152 pins
When i select Route-> Fanout by Pick
the Component was still remained witout Fanout
can any one help me how to Proceed with fanout

Thanks & Regards,
Neena

in a tight constraint board it is difficult for the router to fanout automatically and also time consuming.
so it is better u fanout the component while creating the footprint.

Hi

I did not find any option to fanout while creating the footprint

When you select FbP before selecting component rigt click to get you into set up.
Here you can select and do a proper set up to get dirction, grids, via types etc.

i did the proper set up to get dirction, grids, via types etc.
But only the pads with dummy nets at the edges are getting fanout
Remaining pads are still remained without fanout

What is your spacing? what size via you use? do you have components under BGA on Bottom side? Have you tried out side direction? BGA you are using is 1mm pitch then 10 mils via is required.

Majnoon

hi neena,
i will suggest the manual fanout routing is best way for big circuit..

thier are so many constain & rules are used for automatic routing...

and if any rule is falling then it does execute that command...
so it will be better if you take out the signal from grid array area...
and then branch them with equal lenght to all you target device...

or
configure your signal as bus....then you can do the auto-route..

pls turn off the constraint checking when you do the fanout, that should be fine.
