Facing issue in creating a new pin the layout

Hi ,

Sometime times I face this issue while creating a pin in the Layout with the name say "XYZ" . The window with this message pops up

"Cannot create a net name XYZ.
dbCreateNet: Bus net base name in name 'XYZ' matches a scalar net name that already exists"

I thought if the pin was already there in the layout and If I search (Shift+s) for that 'XYZ' pin name I will not find any

my friends and me have been facing this issue for quite a long time and do not have any permanent solution, neither do we know the cause of the issue.

If anyone faced this issue or knows anything , Kindly update

1) What tool?
2) use your select options to search for a net with XYZ in it
3) Try selecting all and exporting a list that you can inspect
for wire properties
4) Create a new blank layout, copy over polygon data and
try again, sometimes there is verification "residue" that is
invisible yet hard to remove. Stream out, stream in can be a
good way to ditch undesired properties end so on.
