Hello,

I need some help with squelch circuit. Can anybody please give a ckt digram if available or explain me the principle. All I know is that the speaker output in the RX is blocked if there is no signal transmission.

Thanks

Re: Squelch Circuit

You can use a level detector for the audio signal (full wave rectifier and comparator) to drive an analog switch. You must have some delay at the level detector so that it will stay open during speech. The circuit I sent you is an exmple of a level detector. Vref is 6V.
