hi,

in general in rectifiers how much output we get.for example if we apply a 24 V to a bridge rectifier how dc output will come from the bridge rectifier.
for this how much value of capacitor we provide as a filter.

Pls explain the concept of the rectifier

Read this and see if it answers any of your questions:
http://www.eecs.tufts.edu/~dsculley/tutorial/diodes/diodes3.html
(click Next to see more pages, which talk about filtering caps on rectifiers)
and this

P.S. Google is your friend.... type in "how does <insert subject here> work", and check out the results. You'll find a lot of articles/tutorials on simple electric circuits like this.

Ideally, when you say rectification you remove/block the negative component of a signal reaching to the output.
For full-wave rectifier the negative component is converted positively. Just like twisting the negative part of signal to the positive region.
