Hi,

I am intending on using an ESD protection diode for my GPS antenna, however when I search for ESD protection diode, I have come across 2 difference diode, which look like the attached images.
Can anyone tell me what is the difference in both ESD protection diode?
From reading in the internet I found out that for antenna line, the diode should have capacitance less than 0.5pF, is it even better if I use capacitance like 0.2pF or 0.5 pF will just work absolutely fine?

Thank you.

Best regards,

RH

Hi.

One diode is unipolar, the other is bipolar.

If it says less than 0.5pF, then 0.5pF is the max limit. It is better to choose a diode with less capacitance.
