Does NMOS bipolar breakdown means the device can repeatable to use and use again forever to protest ESD in IC?

Thanks.

If the parasitic BJT of the NMOS does not reach the 2nd breakdown (also thermal breakdown) under ESD surges, it can be repeatable to USE. However, there would be some degradation or shift of its characteristics.

Best regards,

Hi

it is repeatable to use but there will be some degradation in performance of the device

if your device not use ESD ,it can easily be damaged.
