errors when creating .pdb ?

Do we have to use list of lef files ?

i used the command

lef2plib -lib umcl18u250t2 -output umcl18u250t2 -lef umcl18u250t2.lef


Warning: umcl18u250t2.lef : LEF5.3 undefined layer name around text MET1 in line 15610.
Failed to create umcl18u250t2.plib.


can anybody give suggestions?

I transfered LEF to PDB successfully a few days ago, and I consider that there is syntax error in your LEF expression. You should check it yourself!

how can it have syntax errors, this is library file from standard cell library.

maybe, the text is written on test layer, which is a logic layer, rather than on metal1 layer.

open your cell in Astro to check this. if so, delete the test layer.

also, check your map file that do have Metal1 specified

i found the solution for that problem in solvnet, the first file in the lef list should the file which contains technology(layer table)information
