Error using ccs-s20 icd help!!!

i have mounted the circuit of an ICD of microchip and program a 16F877A with the bootloader of CCS. It programs the target, but in the debugger mode, it returns an error:

"Could not star target: the target was not halted after reset. Check the target oscillator and MCLR"

The target have a 20Mhz cristal.

I don't know what's the problem. It program, but not debug....


help needed...

Hi,
you must connect only 47k resistor from MCLR pin to VCC, then ICD-XX will work as debuger. See CCS documentation how to using
ICD, www.ccsinfo.com

I put a resistor between VCC and MCLR at the target and now i receive the error:

'Could not star target: No response from ICD. Check the target oscillator and MCLR'

Now it says that don't receive a response from ICD....
MCLR has 4.7V or 13.0V(programming)


Any sujestions???
