Hi everyone,

I am working on acoustic echo cancellation which has a double talk detector. During the single talk, the ERLE exceeds 100dB and during double talk around 20dB to 40 dB. I have read few papers and saw that for a good echo cancellar the ERLE should be between 40-50dB. I am going wrong anywhere? Is is ok to get such high ERLE? Please someone help.

Thank you! figure1.png

There used to be ITU-T G.167 standard that used to specify this, if i am correct. recently this standard has been withdrawn. Not sure if any new standard has come.
So, please check in web for G.167......may get some details.
