Could someone help to find the equivalent capacitance between AB for the circuit attached (CapacitorNetwork.png). Assume all the capacitors are of same value "C"
CapacitorNetwork.png
Also if I have a similar resistive network what will be the equivalent resistance.

hi mate... ANSWER: 3.5C

first you assume or draw your circuit as follows....
1. Assume C1, C2 and C5 in star format
2. convert it into Delta format using star to delta conversion method (your c1, c2 and c3 value will become 3C)
3. Now you can see some combination to be simplified.
4. Reduce it and get the ans across AB.

Deepsss......

and in case of resistors network
Assume :
1:R4,R1,R2 in delta combination and change it in star ,
(your R4,R1,R2 will be 1/3 in star if all R's are consider equal and value 1-ohm ).
2:in this way Rt=(R4 + (R1+R5) || (R2+R3) );

:roll:
