Hi All,

Can anyone give me a reference/information about equation of guided wavelength for slot antenna.
As far as I know, from the book that I have, I only found that:

λg=λo/√εeff

Thanks before

Re: guided wavelength

The equation you have is correct.
For the detail information refer Balanis book. It has chapter on slot antennas.
I am attaching one document which has equations you need & detailed explanation on slot antenna.
I found this article good for understanding

Re: guided wavelength

Thanks Abhishekabs,

But actually what I mean is printed slot antenna in the dielectric substrate.
I want to know the exact equation of the guide wavelength of the slot, because base on the reference the resonant freq of slot is equal to half of the guided wavelength. I hope you (or anyone) could help me.

Thanks again.

Re: guided wavelength

You already know the equation.
I use same equation for lambada g calculation.
it is function of dielectric medium.
& regarding slot antenna.
lambada by 2 for slot antenna is λg/2. which you calculate using
λg=λ0/√εeff.
for calculating εeff you need to know εr of substrate.
you can find the microstrip formulae in book by t.c. edward
foundation for microstrip engineering.
