Epson Dot matrix printer head alignment

hello out there....I'm just wondering if someone knows how to align the print outs of epson lq-300+ and lq-300+II. When I tried to print file/s with tables, table's line where not straight but when it is only plain text the print print outs where fine. I guess I just have to align the printer head but I don't know how to....tnx for any help friends...=)


LOL!!!...just need to set the print direction to uni-d in order to achieve straight line on tables...:grin:

wavy vertical lines in bidirectional mode of printing can be corrected by entering into a special mode in the printer.

you must refer to the printer manual for the key combination to be pressed at power on of printer to enter into that mode.

Hi,

Windows XP: click Start, then Printers & Faxes. Alternatively, click Start, Control Panel and then Printers, Printers & Faxes or Printers and Other Hardware.

right click on epson printer.then Printing performance........

click on maintenance or utility tab

select print head alignment...then Next..

(print head alignment utility fixes vertical misalignment,horizontal banding & blurry pinouts)

then print

follow on the vertival alignment sheet...

click realignment or next.....

After checking and correcting the vertical alignment of the print head, the process will be repeated to allow you to check and correct its horizontal alignment.
