pic controlled intruder alarm

hi, has any one built the EPE PIC controlled intruder alarm that came in the April 2002 issue.

i want to hear from u people the experience u had in building this project. what sensors did u use. what did u use for the indicators. did u use the second keypad facility. and what about that strange looking keypad

can someone get me the internal diagram of the keypad used in this project. ive attatched a pic of the keypad with this post.

Depends on exact type of keyboard, but usually:

1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9
x1- x2 - x3 -x4 - y1 -y2 - y3 -y4 -GND

x - horizontal
y - vertical

Use multimetar, put it on diode test or short circuit test and play a litlle!
