Energy meter working

Can anyone please tell me how energy meter is working
I mean how voltage is calculated?
for checking voltage it is step downed?

Hi,

Every energy meter datasheet will tell you this.
Read through it.
If still unclear: read application notes for the metering IC, read a datasheet from another metering chip manufacturer.

If still unclear, then refer to the document you have read and ask a specific question.
