what is enable optimization in modelsim

Hi all.. Can anybody tell how can we check the internal instance signals declared by us after loading the .vho file in timing simulation bcoz I can only see the slices signals after loding the .vho file.
I came to know that it can be done by selecting ENABLE Optimization check box while loading the .vho file
But the Enable Optimization check box is in disabled condition. Please help me in this regard.

Thanks & Regards,
muni

Hi
I don't get much of what you are saying.
But i know that ModelSim Optimizes the design in 5 different levels, the ModelSim uses the 4th level as a default, and you can choose the "No Optimization" Option so that you can check the design internal signals.
so if you can clarify, maybe i can help
