EMC SIMULATION WITH HYPERLYNX

Hi,

I want to do the EMC simulation of a PCB with Hyperlynx
I chose a net between two ICs: a microcontroller without any digital peripherial and an analog IC(AD8361 et R8C/L38A).

I charged the ibis models of both of them, however when I simulate there is no signal.

Is the problem the fact that the signals between the two ICs are analog?

please Ireally need help.

Hi HAIFA86,

When you say there is no signal... do you mean there is no waveform in the Digital Oscilloscope, or there are no harmonics in the Spectrum Analyzer?

For both cases... did you try "playing" a little bit with the scale buttons?

What kind of driving signal did you use?

If you have a waveform in the Oscilloscope, then you MUST observe some EM radiation in the Spectrum Analyzer.

If you are sure everything is alright... try using another IBIS models and see what happens.

Hi,
thank you but I juste found the problem.
the problem is that in my PCB ther is no ground plane as reference so there is no harmonics in the Spectrum Analyzer.
