Hi,
Is this the
**broken link removed** for the FAS-1300GS?
Is this the
right installation manual for the LA500?
How do you need help, please? Is it understanding the wiring, where to fit the mag locks, or another issue?
Page 32 shows the connections for the mag locks, page 1 of the other shows power and relay wiring.

Hi again,
Trying to read the LA500 installation manual, I'm a bit lost, so some-one else should confirm or negate the following:
I think, based on page 32, last bullet point - "Auxillary power - 24V DC", if either of the two options are usable for you, you can power the mag locks from those two DC supply points. I am not convinced about that being so at all.
The top of page 32 shows the mag lock option as though you need (...an AC/DC power supply???...)
something whose definition I haven't located in the manual yet between the control board relay points and the mag lock(s), and it does say "not provided" in brackets. After a fair search I still can't tell, but am guessing the control board relay output could or couldn't be 120V/240V AC??
Perhaps auxillary power and the mag lock relay are both 24V DC, as they are next to each other on the board, but I can't be certain.
Sorry, Narinesa, unless another member understands this type of gate control board, I'd try to locate the LA500 technical department and enquire what "not provided" is, and suggest to them on my behalf that they remember to put the voltages and type (AC or DC) on the pictures of the control board, either page 53 or page 54, or in a humanly comprehensible table for the average consumer...
"Not provided" appears to be a wall plug adapter of some kind, or an accessory they or the mag lock manufacturer may sell.

Hi,
Ignore most of the above, summary is:
Do mag locks require a separate power supply and a control signal supply? - I am guessing so.
Trying to read the LA500 installation manual and the FAS one..., but don't take my word for any of this:
I think, based on page 32, last bullet point - "Auxillary power - 24V DC", if either of the two options are usable for you, you can power the mag locks from those two DC supply points. I am not convinced about that being so at all.
"Not provided" appears to be a wall plug adapter of some kind, in your case a 12 or 24V DC adapter/power supply.
I assume that the FAS yellow, blue, purple, brown need to be powered by a DC power supply with the pertinent wiring as shown in the manual: for 12V or 24V DC.
The "mag lock" wiring diagram on page 32, and pages 53 and 54 show that you need a separate wall-wart/supply for what I think is the mag lock control signal, as the FAS has red, black, white wires also? If so, then positive wire of wall-wart/DC supply goes to relay normally closed and the negative wire to the elongated mag lock part, and com is wired to the other half of the mag lock (I've never seen a mag lock before, but I guess from the picture you'll know which part is which).
