Is there a card available which has EEPROM that I can write to using a microcontroller of my choice?

I have seen a bunch of EEPROM Smart Cards and Card Holders, the cards seem to contain their own processor which looks complex.

I am wanting to store 30 ten digit numbers only and don't know where to start. Hoping there is some I2C solution or similar .

I want to read and write to a card using a picaxe or propellor
