(E)EPROM

i heard that some PROMs can be erased and reprogrammed and can someone tell me the concept behind the breaking and making of the connections of the fuse...

(E)EPROM

Hi Anand,

The technology is the floating gate transistor.
By applying appropriate voltages to the device, electrons could be trapped/released at/from the gate. This changes the threshold voltage resulting in on/no connection.

Re: (E)EPROM

The technology involved behind this is floating gate technology, by controlling the voltage applied to the gate during programming, we can turn it permanently on or off. we can regain back status again by appropriately applying voltage..
