I need to model a finite ground CPW.
The structure is very small if compared to the wavelength and also with respect to the dimensions of the substrate so I used dummy model objects above the trasmission line and below in the substrate.

Is this the rigth way? Or there is a more elegant way to get a very tight mesh in the CPW gap regions and a looser one in the rest of the box?

Can someone share his/her experinece in CPW/CPS sw simultations?

Thanks

I might start with a CPW model and manually refine the mesh or add virtual objects only if I was suspicious of the results. I try to compare the results to other simulators as a gross test to see if I have blundered somewhere.
