dual voltage power supply

Pls Anybody with a circuit on dual voltage power supply which is 12v by 5v
like the one for a PC CD ROM drive

If you are really intrested to buld one, you may use circuits from the datasheets of LM7812, 7805, 7912 etc. If you are aiming to drive a CDrom drive externally, the real best choice is the PC smps supply which will supply what you need and it will be cheaper than the one constructed. Good luck
